Q: I am about to buy bmw 135i and I want to get it at least close to the invoice price.?
I want to buy at a good bargained price that is close to the invoice along with some options. I read people talking about “ed” or whatever that is. How can I get to buy a car at a price close to the invoice?
A: Look on edmunds.com. They have section that allows you to ‘build’ your car and get an invoice price. It is never spot-on, but pretty darned close. While you are there, check for any dealer incentives that my be going on now.
I am not sure how popular the 135i is. Depending on popularity of the car, go in at 1-3% above your estimated invoice price.
Also, most dealers will show you the invoice if you ask to see it. Don’t be afraid to do this.
Q: Which car should i buy BMW 135i or Audi A5 and why?
im looking for a safe, reliable, and fast car, and would the 135i be as safe in a car crash as the A5?
A: The Ownage doesn’t know what he is talking about.
the 135i has 300 hp, 35 more than the a5. and the 135i weighs less which means is much quicker.
but you are comparing cars from different classes. the a5 competes with the 3-series coupe, not the 1-series
regardless, between these 2 i would choose the 135i, simply because its a BMW, and they handle better than Audi. The Audi might have a prettier face, but underneath the sheetmetal is where the BMW shines.
Q: nissan 370z or bmw 135i turbo? which is the car i should buy?
I Have a owned a 350z and a bmw 335i and i love both cars i am buying a car in march and wanted to know people opinions on both cars. Please serious answers only
A: i’dd go with the 370z great machine and much cheaper on labor cost..with the ressesion and all…..sporty little devils and reliable
Q: I recently bought a 2008 BMW 135i. WHEN DO i TAKE IT IN FOR IT’S FIRST OIL CHANGE?
It has 10,000 miles on it.
A: If the BMW is factory filled with a true synthetic such as Mobil One, 15,000 is approaching the limit. Even though synthetics don’t break down like petroleum based oils do, there is a small amount of fuel contamination on engines using gasoline.
AMSOIL recommends changing their best synthetic oil at 25,000 or one year for gasoline engines.
For diesel powered engines, the oil change interval may be extended based on oil analysis.

Q: Buying a BMW 135i need help with options.?
im buying a BMW 135i and I cant decide between the paddles or the six speed. I have questions about the paddles like will they let me redline the car? Also if I get paddles i couldnt afford a nav system what should be more important, paddles with no nav or six speed with nav? I’m just confused.
A: I’m going to assume that you drove both cars. It all comes down to waht is important to you.
I understand why you want to be careful in what direction you go on this because the options in the 1 series can bring the car into the 3 series range in terms of price.
I’ve not driven the new 1 series, but, I’ve heard that the 135i is really good, but the price tag is too close to the 3. What you get in the 135i, largely depends on your wants in the car. If I were you, I would only buy the options that you know that is important to you. I heard the paddles are not expensive. It is the extra options that brings this car into the 3 pricing range.
If you like the manual six, I would go for that. In all of the BMWs that I’ve owned, I never had a person that didn’t like the manuals in the BMWs. However, I’ve owned the automatics too and they work well too. I did try the older SMG and it was really bad for city driving, but the newer one is much better.
The only thing I would suggest to you is to sit down and write down the things that are important to you and only buy the options that you want. Keep in mind that checking off too many options when buying your 1 series will quickly bring up the price. If you can spend alittle more, I would go with the 3 series, the coupe.
I hope this helps.
Q: If you had to buy one, which would you pick? BMW 135i, Saturn Sky Turbo, Infiniti G35, Subaru Legacy Turbo?
This is based on < > 35k msrp… you can also suggest a pick of your own. Please convey the reasoning behind your choice… When i think of these cars… i think luxury, performance, and style.
A: It’s hard to say with the cars you’ve chosen, you have everything from 2 seaters to 4 door sedans. Assuming that utility means nothing to you, I would pick the 135i.
Legacy only has performance, style is arguable, but luxury is not there. You don’t by a Subaru for luxury, it’s AWD performance so it probably can give you the most year-round.
G35 is good for performance, luxury and style but it won’t be the fastest and isn’t mod friendly, probably the best bang for your buck here. If you also like a lot of toys and tech in your car, you’ll get the most for your money here.
Saturn, like Subaru isn’t known for their luxury amenities. Being a 2 seater convertible, this will be a one season car with almost 0 utility, but it is stylish and performance is probably 2nd best of the lot. Build quality is also going to be shaky here.
Which leads back to the 135, it is a BMW so luxury and build quality will be good. As for style, personally I think it doesn’t have the aggressive looks of the rest of the line. The looks along with being the smallest BMW also leads to a ‘cute’ image, which isn’t the greatest. The performance out the box will be the best of the group easily. They estimate 0-60 5.3s but it will be sub 5 easily, the 335 can hit high 4’s already and this car will be much lighter. Like any turbo car, they are easily modified with simple chip upgrades. Putting an extra $2000 in to this car would make it a monster, competitive with Porsche’s and Ferrari’s. Of course the car will not draw anywhere near the attention.
Q: Where can I find cheap car insurance for my BMW 7 Series car?
Hi. I just bought a BMW 135i Convertible. Where can I find cheap car insurance for this car? I’ve checked the major ones like Geico but the quotes they list out are pretty expensive in my opinion.
Note: Didn’t get a 7 Series. Changed my mind at the last minute.
A: HUGE difference between a 7 series and a 1 series. Why didn’t you just spend a couple thousand more and get the 3 series? The 3 series always gets great reviews. The 7 series has had mechanical problems for years.
Anyway, how do you buy a BMW and go cheap on insurance? They aren’t cheap cars. USAA has the best rates and service, period. If you can’t get it (it’s an exclusive company) then I would check out Progressive. Shop around. Most places will give you free quotes.
Q: which car should i buy? the bmw 335i or the 2008 1 series 135i. i can send up to 40,000?
A: I’d go for the 1 series. Same engine, but lighter and cheaper.
If you don’t need the extra room the 3 series offers, it’s an easy call. If you do need it, then the 3 series is the way to go.
Q: Is the bmw 135i coup and convertable a stickshift or automatic?
im just wondering because i would love to buy one but i dont know how to drive a stick
A: It’s a German Performance Automobile. It’s going to come with a manual transmission, so you can use it as it was intended. There’s always an option for the automatic version, but it’s worth it to learn the stick.
Q: When to buy a bmw???
Thinking about buying a bmw 128i coupe or the 135i but the car industry is going down the drain because of the economy. So whens the best time to buy it? Im guessing their prices on their website will drop by christmas
A: I just took Euro Delivery of an ‘09 135i at BMW Welt in Munich last week. While there, I was informed BMW has cut back on production of all models quite dramatically because of the current economic slump. They don’t want to produce if there is decreased demand. Several of BMW’s factories will be closed for 3 consecutive weeks in December (it usually shuts down for only 1 week between Christmas and New Year’s).
However, unlike Detroit, don’t expect huge rebates, buyer incentives, or “fire sale” type pricing on any BMW model. And remember, Germany is one of the first nations to have proclaimed they are in a recession.
Additionally, I don’t know how it is where you live, but in the western part of the US, demand for the 1-series, particularly the 135i, exceeds supply. Seemingly, this model is on a allocation basis to dealers.
Q: is a bmw 135i a girl or guy car?
i wanted to buy one, by the way, im a guy, and it was going to be black with black interior?
A: If you have to question it, choose a girl car. It is more appropriate in your case.
A car is a direct reflection of the owners personality.
As long as you are not looking at a pink Mini or a “Sky Blue”Miata…..why bring sex into the mix at all? Pick whatever feels right.
Its like a keeper girlfriend. You will know the first time you see her!
Inside your head a voice will yell like a banshee “I have got to get me one of these”. I now pronounce you man and machine. Remember to register at the BMW dealer for the presents, NOT Napa.
Q: What’s the best DATE CAR ? ( A BMW 135i, or a RAV4 Sport ??)?
I’m 42 years old and my Toyota Corolla is 10 years old.
I can afford anything up to $80,000 price.
My engineer friend just bought a new $65,000 White Mercedes because he says that you’ve got to impress the women these days if you ever hope to ever have a chance of getting a date with them, and a flashy car is one of the best ways.
I was pondering on whether to buy a new 2009 Toyota Matrix or a rocketship V6 RAV4 Sport (0-60 in 6.2 seconds). My friend told me to shop instead for perhaps a BMW 135i (also with 300 hp), or perhaps a Nissan 350 Z. Problem is I live up here in Canada (the snow-belt), and the snow we get each year makes driving a 350 Z in the winter a bit stupid, that’s my reasoning for the RAV4 Sport. I don’t want a Land Rover or Mercedes or BMW because the reliability has been desmal lately. My friend already has had his in the shop 3 times for expensive repairs (and his love life still sucks!)
So, if you were a quiet, shy, but nice kind gentleman, what would you get?
A: A car is only one aspect of you, and (ideally), it should not be the reason a woman is dating you. By that criterion, you can get whichever car you like.
However, if you want a car that a girl likes to drive, I would recommend getting a Jagaur. They are stylish, but their electrical systems have a bad reputation.
If it were me, though, I would get a Toyota Avalon. Then you have the stylish features, plus the reliability that Toyota is known for, and you will seem shrewd to any potential dates to boot. Get one that’s slightly used, if possible, so you don’t take the huge hit to your wallet that you would if buying a new one.
Q: Driving an automatic BMW?
I’m planning on buying a BMW 135i but I have no idea how to drive a manual and being a young guy I’m going to have friends drive it too. The best idea for me would be to get it in automatic with the steptronic gear box, would I look like an idiot driving a BMW with an automatic transmission?
A: Well first, don’t listen to Baxter. Buying a 135i is way different than being able to afford an M3. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. I think M3’s run in the 80K range?? Something like that, so you’re talking at least half the cost of the 135i.
Get an automatic, you won’t look “dumb”. You will look dumber if your tear up your brand new transmission in your new Bimmer. Enjoy the little car for what it is and when you are making the big bucks, learn to drive stick on a junker and then run out and buy an M3 or M6.
Q: impreza rs vs bmw 135i?
what is the all around better car,..
and what car would you buy,,
AND WHY
A: Definitely the BMW. The Subaru is too common, of lesser quality and prestige. If you ever need service, BMW service is great and it doesn’t actually cost that much (had two mechanics work on my 7-Series for four hours – $180 for labor)
Overall, it depends on what you look for. Ricer that you see a lot or a nice performing piece of German engineering that looks sharp too.
Q: Difference between BMW 125i and 135i?
Is the twin turbo setup the only difference between the two models? I’m looking to buy a 1-series as a project car, so if that really is the only difference, it isn’t worth spending extra money on turbochargers that I can put in myself.
A: its a pretty big difference in hp 218 to 306.. it would take a considerable amount of money just to make up that hp also youd be giving up reliability and your warranty… buy the 135
another thing you cant just simply throw on a turbo and be done
