Q: Is anyone looking to buy a BMW 545i?
Two weeks ago I bought a 2004 BMW 545i, it has 19,000 miles on it. I lost my job two days after I took delivery. Willing to sell it for $33,000 that is at least $5,000 under value.

A: Place it on

Q: Would you buy a 2005 BMW 545i (138K miles) or 2005 G35X (99k miles)? Why? Both are the same price.?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: Installing an ipod or iphone into a 2004 BMW 545i?
I just bought a 2004 BMW 545i and wanted to see what my options were to run my ipod or ipod part of my iphone through the idrive controls. I would like it to not affect the navigation and still have it displayed on the main screen in my car. Any ideas??

A: there is nothing available for that vehicle only 1995 to 2003 5 series and 2006 to 2008
the problem is the IDRIVE there is nothing compatible with the 04 and up IDRIVE system

Q: I just wanted to poll, I’m interested in buying a new car what would you consider BMW 545i, Z4, or z4 coupe
I know all the numbers on these cars seeing that I’m a fanatic, but I have never test driven any of these models,so I would love your opinions on such. Oh yeah I meant the car would be new to me I’m buying one with over 20k miles but under 35k miles the pricing is perfect there!

A: BMW 545i. First of all, it is more of a status car than the other two. It is a lot roomier and more comfortable. The other 2 are sporty and you’ll feel bumps as you drive.

Q: whats the annual maintenance on a BMW 545i?
Im About to buy one. Who has one and what year? what are your experiences? Any 5 series BMW, 2004 or newer would be good advice…

A: I have an 05 and I love the car. The car decides when it needs maintenance for you. It actually watches your driving habits and fuel consumption and figures when the oil should be changed. Brakes too, it has brake sensors that as they wear it tells you how long you have to replace the brakes.

The system is called condition based service

Q: 2005 bmw 545i headlight washers help please!?
I have an 05 545i with headlight sprayers and they do not work. When i bought the car i didnt know that they didnt work. I have tried everything. turn the light on 5 times. hit the button while the lights are on and nothing! My question is, i want to check the fuse but with BMW they do not specify what fuse is what. So im stuck. I need someone that can get a diagram explaining what fuse is what. The car just passed its extended warrenty so i want to avoid dealership costs.

A: Give the dealership a call and get them to tell you which fuse it is, I’ve never had a BMW but everything else I have had has always said in the manual or on the fuse box which fuse is which.

Q: Should I buy a Manual Transmission for a Sedan?
I’m Car shopping for a BMW 550I but can’t find one in my price range so I stepped down to the 545I but all the 545I’s that I find are Manual Transmission & a few that are SMG which I don’t mind cause I like the SMG. If I do buy the 545I should I get the SMG or keep looking for an Automatic. Has anyone driven a Manual Sedan, does it feel like it belongs on a sedan?

A: LOOl?? a lot of sedans people drive are manual. Just practice for a couple hours in a parking lot to get used to it and understand. Youll get props from everyone trust me, dont be a average joe.

Q: What should i look for in a car that I am considering to buy?
I am looking at a 2004 BMW 545i. what should i look in the car to make sure it is in good shape?

A: Plan on taking a used car to a mechanic for two main reasons, one is to make sure the car is not a piece of crap. and two any minor problems the mechanic finds, you use to negotiate the price down. NOW I will tell you how I look for used cars. First try to drive the car, when it has been sitting at least overnight, and is cold. Some problems may start to show up when the vehicle has not been driven, and go away when warmed up. Before you start the car check that the brake lights and turn signals work correctly. Inspect the tires make sure the wear is even all across and that all tires are the same kind, roll all the windows down (so you can hear any engine start up noises, or smoke issues) . Then get in the car, start it up, let it run for 20 to 30 seconds, and then try to drive it faster than you normally would. Drive it a bit harder, make sure it runs drives and stops good when cold. there should be no rattling banging or knocking or smoking from the engine. it it sounds like a loud can full of rocks, walk away and go look for another car. If it passes this test, check all the power windows several times, up and down all the way, make sure that the heater the air conditioner , the headlights , and all power options work, keep a list of problems, to get a repair estimate from your mechanic later. open the doors, inspect the door jam for over sprayed paint, (possible sign of repair work) same thing with hood and trunk. when shut look at how all doors hood and trunk fit. the gaps should be minimal and even, and walk around the entire car, at least three times slowly, look from different angles. If you were unable to drive the vehicle cold on the dealer lot for some reason, don’t worry go ahead and test drive it, but plan to come back the next day early and unannounced. and drive it again cold.
If you decide to get the car to your mechanic (this is something you can tell your mechanic ahead of time)
have him to and engine and transmission inspection. since you have checked all the lights and windows and radio and heater, tell him so you do not pay him to do it too. If the dealer balks at a mechanical inspection, run don’t walk from this car. If your mechanic oks the car, but finds some minor repairs, get an estimate, and use this to negotiate the price DOWN. If you want a rough idea how much cash the dealer is into the car for. Ask him what it would take in cash, for you to drive it home right now. Usually this is close, because the dealer is not losing money, everything after that is profit. good luck hope this helps

Q: Which car is the best buy?
008 Cadillac CTS Direct Injection with Nav

2008 Pontiac G8 GT, Ignition Orange Fully Loaded

2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe, Black with Aero and Premium Package with Nav

A 2005 BMW 545i, Black, Fully loaded (nav, heads up display all that)

In terms of Performance, Looks and Reliability…..which one is better in each catagory….

Which one would you buy?

Thanks in Advance.

A: G8 GT.

Newest design in America. Looks great, especially in Orange. Unique, powerful, 50/50 weight distribution so it handles well.

Q: Should I Buy A Japanese Made or A European Made Car?
Japanese=2006 Acrua TL, or 2006 Infiniti M45

European=2004 BMW 545i

A: I would take the 2006 Acura TL. It is going to cost you the least to maintain and insure.

The BMW is almost 6 years old and maintenance costs are going to start to get out of hand before long.

Q: Which BMW 5 Series should I get?
My parents are buying me my first car and it’s between a 2004 BMW 530i or a 2005 BMW 545i. The 545i cost $500 more than the 530i. The 545i has 80,000 miles and the 530i has only 54,000. Which one should I get? Also, how much is regular maintenance and how much longer would the cars last? Thanks for any help!

A: If horse power and a much nicer ride is your thing go with the 545i more mileage but WAY cooler car. if you want better gas mileage the 3.0 six is still a pretty fast engine and will probable give you more mileage the the 8 cylinder

Q: What do ya think ” BMW 740i”?
Im thinking of buying this BMW 740i it has close to 98k on it very well kept. Very Clean in and out sounds good, very strong engine and quiet too. no smoke or leaks that i could find
Any owners or past owners here?

Needed to know the differance in the 740i &> 740(iL)< ?
besides wheel base if any thing else?
i think the price looks right asking 6K what do ya think vs the mileage?

I Personaly like the 535i- 545i modles and M5s. They just feel right.

A: Depending on the year, the 740i can be an excellent car. If it’s the E32 style (which is pre-1995), I’ve seen lots of them around still so I’m assuming it’s a really good car. If it’s an E38 (1995-2001), avoid the ‘95 but the rest of the years are great cars. (The ‘95 had a weaker engine that was replaced the following year) I have a 1997 740i and it’s an amazing car. I disagree with the guy that said 7 Series cars age poorly. You just have to know how to keep them updated. If you buy an older E38 like mine, it will have black plastic rocker panels, old-looking tail lights, and ugly rims. However, if you get the black painted to match the body color, change the tail lights to the 2001 style, and upgrade to the M-parallel wheels it will look 10 years newer. The 7 does not look outdated and aged at all if you just spiff it up a bit. It is also pretty reliable and it has amazing power and handling for such a large car. The only difference between the 740i and the 740iL is the length of the car. The 740iL does not have any more standard features or a bigger engine or anything, however the 750iL has a V12 and tons more equipment. If you want to find out if that’s a good price, you can check www.kbb.com to find out what the car should be selling for. The 5 Series is too round-looking for my taste, however I do think it is a pretty car. I just don’t like its style as much as the 7. The 740i just looks more stately and sophisticated because of its long, uniform look. It’s your car though, so pick what you like. Happy hunting!

Q: Logic7 Sound Quality?
Hello, im looking into buying a 2006 BMW 545i and it has the logic7 sound system….I am buying it from a dealership online and was just wondering how good the sound system is. Is it loud, clear, and not garbled when turned up. Also, how is the bass? ive heard it is underpowered….

Anyone have any solid specs on the system?

A: my mom has a bmw with logic 7. clear as shit!!! bass is awesome but the highs could be louder.

Q: which bmw 5 series is the allrounder model from 1996-2000 e39 shape?
am stuck cant decide which 1 i wanna buy and what colour 520i 523i 525i 528i 530i 535i 540i 545i m5 then theres diesels ……am trying to get everything insurance, power ,economiy ,luxury leather ,heated seats, saftey equipment basicly allrounder
thank you all in advance

A: Depends how fast you want to go and how much fuel you’re willing to put in it. I’d have to say the ‘optimum’ 5-sreies is probably one of the bigger petrol sixes or a 530d, in SE or Sport trim in a nice, dark metallic. The V8s aren’t significantly faster, don’t handle as well, and cost a lot more to fuel, and maintain, while the smaller sixes do struggle a bit with such a heavy car, particularly with the automatic transmission option, which means their fuel consumption is little better than the bigger engines.
OK, if I had to pick an ideal spec, I’d have a facelift model (X plate onwards) 530i Sport Auto, dark blue metallic with cream leather and the 18″ M5-style alloys.
