A: For performance parts, try companies like bimmerworld.com and turnermotorsport.com. Both are run by respected BMW racing teams.
For maintenance parts, try bimmerparts.com and rmeuropean.com.
Bavauto.com (and to a lesser extent, bmpdesign.com) are both dealer-alternatives, but their product selection, while broad, is not at the sharpest prices.
Q: How much negotiating room does a potential buyer have when buying a used 2007 BMW online from a dealership?
A: If its a used car the amount of “room” in the price depends on what the dealer paid for the car. Like Jay said online prices are usually pretty low since dealers have to be competitively priced, so dont expect a huge dollar amount off of the car especially if you have a trade in. Most people think thier trade is worth alot more than it actually is, for example your trade may be worth $10,000, you think its worth $11,500. The dealer may “give” you $11,500 for the car but that extra $1,500 actually comes out of the price for the car your getting. So for example if a dealer has $2,000 mark up on thier online price and they take $500 off that and give you $500 extra for your trade, they are down to $1,000 which may seem like alot. But when you factor in that they have to pay the salesman (say$100) and cover thier overhead per car (say $450) and clean the car and get it ready for delivery (say $150) that only leaves them only a couple hundred left. So dont expect a ton of money off the internet price.
Trust me, I’m the internet manager at a Ford dealer, and we dont have a ton of room in the internet prices.

Q: I have around 600 dollars to buy a car. I am looking into older BMW’s and Mercedes.Where online can I find one?
I have a couple friends at my school who purchased a BMW from the eighties or so, and it was only 550 dollars. Which I thought was surprisingly cheap. Where online could I find a mercedes or BMW , no matter what year it was made in , for around six hundred dollars?
A: The reason they are sold so cheap is because cost of fixing it is so high. Heck, some of the parts alone would cost 500-600 if you have the luck to find it. This would not be a wise investment unless this is your hobby, and you don’t mind having one parked in your garage for years until you find all the parts to restore it.

A while back, BMW hired a bunch of famous directors to record a series of mini movies you can get download online. I thnk it was called “The Driver” or something similar to that. You know what I am talking about if you seen it.

Q: Why can’t I find any information online about a 1991 BMW 320i?
Every site that I have searched for parts, information, ect. doesn’t list the 320i as a model for 1991.

Simply enter the last 7 digits of your serial number or select which model you have (sedan, coupe, etc), then 320i, then select Europe because the 320i was not available in North America until the 1993 model year with the M50TU engine. Select the build date and transmission then away you go.
You cannot purchase parts here but it gives you an idea of prices and availability.
Most items in the car will also be specific to the 325i with the M50 engine. But use the part number to compare and confirm.

You’ll have to register, and you’ll need either the VIN (if it’s been assigned) or the production number provided by the dealer. Then the production status will appear when you log in. There are a number of other features there as well, from financial services to online owner’s manuals and maintenance.

theres a couple of blown fuses in my bmw but i dont know what they are for , and at the same time i cant find a website that would show me a diagram for it ….. any help please….

A: Camho, your looking at a needle in a hay stack my friend. You have approx 100 fuses in your car. Leave it to a professional, preferably BMW to deal with. They have specialist high tech computer equipment to show EXACTLY where the fuse is!

A: I once had all the owners manuals scanned so I could printout them for customers who lost or had damaged manuals. I put them online years ago as a good Samaritan thing. I got spanked by BMW and they had it removed. Everywhere you go online is a bait and switch situation when your trying to get free information from an owners manual. Years ago everything was free now they charge. The upside is these greedy people who think they are so smart are finding out people will NOT pay for this stuff.
