Find new and used BMW classifieds at our automotive classifieds and Cars for Sale website Classifieds.Sub5Zero.com

Q: replacing low profile tires for all season/winter BMW 325i 1991?
I have a 1991 BMW 325i 4 door with low profile tires ( 225/40ZR16)
and need to buy some all weather or winter tires. I’ve been looking for diff tires in the classifieds and all the advertised winter tires for BMW 3 model are all totally different sizes.

If I am going from *low profile* to winter/all season tires what size should I get?? Not the same size as the low profile ones right?? I think they may need to be the E36 bmw model tires, but not sure.

Help please, I don’t know anything about this and I need to replace them soon, the snow is coming here!!
For reference:

We are in Germany and they salt like crazy here. Oh, and I don’t speak any German

A: It depends greatly on your 325i wheel sizes. Do you want 4 all season tires, or do you want only two? You might consider two steel wheels instead of using your good alloy wheels for winter. Are you in an area where they use salt on the road? Don’t drive alloy wheels on salted roads.
BMWs have specific offset measurements for their wheels making them peculiar to the car. Some Three series cars have a different rear wheel and different tire size from what is used in the front. Go talk to TIRE RACK people or even COSTCO to see what is available.
In Germany, the wheel sizes and tire sizes for a 325i BMW are specified by the German TUV. If your designated wheel size is 7 X 16, the appropriate tire size will be 225/50 x 16. You should have a choice between Semperite, Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin and other manufacturers. Try METRO Warehouse in Germany for the best prices. RSVP.

Q: When Americans get health care bills that cost as much as a BMW, will they embrace socialism?
It’s nice to talk tough now, but financial realities are hard to ignore. The rest of the world does it, why are we too good for it?

You people need to put down your AP History book propaganda and go out in the real world. Pick up some classifieds. Your business degree does not mean you’ll get a job or that you even know about business at all. The reason we’re in this mess is because of all the 24 year old MBA graduates that felt their degree was some sort of black belt in the markets.

Oops, good job, you’ve just crashed the American economy. This is why you don’t let young people get high positions in any company. How many of these idiot consultants were running around, telling companies and governments around the nation what to do, when they weren’t even competent enough to run a McDonald’s?

A: those in the health care biz will not like socialism!

A doctor pulling in $250,000.00 a year, will have to settle for $50,000.00!

So let’s get all the greedy docs and other health care personal and give them a choice!

Either unplug yourselves from the breast of the beast or__________________________________________!

Q: where can i find cars that are sold for $1000 and under?
im a teen, ive heard of craigslist, the classifieds, pennysaver, cars.com and autotrader is there anywhere else im looking for a job and i really want a car but it needs to be extremely cheap and im not naive i know it wont be a shiny 2009 bmw, just something acceptable

A: junk yards

cars cost $3K to $4,000

unless your buying one from your parents

Q: the best way to get a cool car for less?
is the newspapers a good place to look for a good car like bmw and mercedes and corvettes for less because i see them in the classifieds all the time and i was wondering if you think its better to buy it from and individual than off a lot

A: yes the paper is a good place to look for these,i seen in our paper the other day a 87 corvette for 4500 bucks, and it said runs and drives and looks real good, there are some real good deals though in some of the local papers,i have seen a lot of big selling cars here lately sell real cheap,a friend of mine just about gave his corvette away just to get rid of it,it was a 86 model and real low miles, and he sold it for 5k the price is down on them right now,you can get good deals from either right now dealers or individuals, lot of people realizing they don’t have a need for the corvettes and luxury cars anymore, good luck, you,ll find a good one if you,ll take your time ,hope this helps.

Find new and used Pre-owned BMW at our automotive classifieds and Cars for Sale website Classifieds.Sub5Zero.com

Q: Why are car dealers selling 2008 Certified pre-owned BMW models that were not previousely demo cars?
I thought usually pre-owned cars were the ones that just got off lease and/or demo cars. But aren’t leases usually more than 1 year? Are these pre-owned cars lemons?
I was looking through BMW inventory.
The dealer said these are not demos. Theses models do not have high mileage. But do they give out brand new cars as loaners?

A: A 2008 pre-owned could be a repo, demo, corporate car or rental.
We will be seeing alot of repos in the future.
Pre-owned just means that they have already been retailed and on the street. Every used car is pre-owned.

Q: Any experience with BMW certified pre owned warranty?
I am thinking of buying a 2006 BMW 330i it is certified pre owned by BMW,the dealer tellls me for the next 6 years all I will pay for is fuel and tires.Has anyone had any experience with this type of warranty? Is this to good to be true?

A: that is not true.

if you purchased a bmw certified pre owned vehicle then you still have to pay for regular, wear and tear maintanence such as oil changes, brakes, windshield wiper blades, etc.

in order to only have to pay for fuel and tired you have to get the full maintanence program, on top of the warranty. but you can only get this on BRAND NEW bmw’s

Q: How much would a certified pre-owned BMW 5 series cost to lease or finance?
I have recently acquired a steady cash flow and I would like to either lease or finance a 2006 or 2007 5 series.

I would like to know how much people usually pay a month for one.

Thanks for the help!

A: Not a bad idea, one of the best cars that they make. . .

The true rating though for you payment is all based on your credit score I bought an E39 in 2006 and I pay $540 a month, my friend also bought an E39 and pays $700 a month. . .

but to answer your question anywhere between this area is reasonable. .. But I have heard of people paying as much as $800-$900 brand new

Q: Can I service my BMW which is on pre-owned warranty ouside a BMW dealership like MIDAS?
I bought a BMW from a private seller and it is under pre-owned waranty until 2009. Can i service it outside a BMW dealership and still keep my pre-owned warranty. Reasons – Cheaper and easy to find service appointments.

A: Is it a BMW warranty or another extended extended warranty companies coverage plan? If it the latter, you can go anywhere you please. If it’s an extended BMW contract call any official BMW Dealership and ask what their policy is. Don’t for gosh sakes ever go to Midas for exhaust replacement, or any mechanical work. Deal with Monroe Muffler. All their exhaust parts are Walker products, the best aftermarket parts available. Most independent mechanics use Walker products. Avoid quick change oil places like the bubonic plague. Always go th an independent mechanic or a new car dealership. Less horrifying mistakes would be made there. For intricate mechanical work I’d certainly depend on a BMW dealership. You have a valuable piece, I certainly would not let any Tom Dick or Harry try to muddle through an engine that requires very specialized tools to do the job correctly.

Q: Does anyone have a copy of the Certified Pre-Owned BMW Protection Plan Consumer Information Statement?
I would like to see specifically what is not covered under the plan & all references point back to this document. Said is available for inspection at a dealer, of course I am not a dealer at the present time. I’m looking for a digital copy, if one exists.

A: http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/cpo/warranty/default.aspx

Q: I am considering buying either a new Camry LEX or a certified pre-owned BMW 325i. Which is a better value?
2005 BM@ 325i or 2007 Toyota Camry LEX?

A: Given the choice of new or pre-owned, go for the new product. The warranty guarantee on the new will be better, and the New has never been abused, or the not maintained. The BMW certified pre-owned is just marketing non sense. If you go with a used car, it’s still a used car. The “certified” stuff is nonsense. I’ve worked at new car dealers [Chevy] where we have “certified”. I’ve seen starters go bad, and get turned down because they went ‘bad” BECAUSE one of the bolts holding them on came loose. So the customer pays for the new starter because a BOLT CAME LOOSE, the bolts aren’t covered. Go with the new product.

Q: What actor plays Kyle in the new BMW Pre-Owned TV commercial?
I saw the commercial today and I can’t place where I saw this kid and it’s bugging me now… In the commercial he is shooting baskets while his mom yells at him… The question is where have I seen this kid before?? I want to say he played an excitable geek on TV or a movie…

A: He was the geeky son on Michael Rappaport’s sitcom “War at Home” which used to be on Fox.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0838202/

Q: Can you lease a certified pre-owned BMW?
I was looking on the Certified Pre-owned section of the BMW website earlier and i came across a section that said you can lease a certified pre-owned car just like a new car. I wasn’t sure if i was Reading this correctly or if there is a catch to this. Does anybody know of anyone that has done this before? Is this true?

A: I considered leasing a CPO’d 2006 M5 but there is no such thing. I was told by several dealers that some specific models of BMW (i.e. the M models) cannot be made into a CPO. That may or may not be an issue for you.

The important thing are the lease details (rate, residual, etc.) From what I found, the lease on a new car had so many more incentives, the payments on a used car became almost as expensive as a new one. Factor in the free maintenance, it became a no-brainer. Long story short-I leased a new M5.

Q: I have a 2001 pre-owned BMW. Is there a site I can go to to see all the work that’s been done on it?
like can I put in my VIN number and find out what’s been done to it for FREE???? Like I know you have to pay for a carfax report, and they don’t even show all the servicing it has had a stuff

A: Well there are no actual site to see all works been done on it, but if it’s a Bimmer all you have to do is go to a BMW Dealer and with just your key they could run up everything that was done at the BMW Dealer…If your car was not maintenance at the Dealer than Pretty much you are out of luck…Maybe Carfax might have those…not wuite sure on how details it is too…

Q: Do people like the BMW X3? I am looking at 2006 or newer certified pre-owned?
What are people’s opinion of the BMW Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program? The BMW dealer near me has sales on CPO X3’s for the same price as a Chevy Equniox.

A: i think it is very impressive in performance, nice ride!

Q: should i get a new volkswagen jetta or a pre-owned bmw 3281 sedan?
im looking for my first car. which do you think i should get?

A: economically speaking you should never buy a new car. The minute you sign the papers and drive the car off the lot the value of the car drops by 20% or more. Used cars that are no more than 2 years old are the best value. They still have warranties and you are not paying for the new car hype such as all the amenities that dealers add on to the sticker price and you also save on your insurance premiums because you won’t owe more than what your car than it is worth…if you do buy the new car be sure to purchase “gap” insurance so if you are involved in an accident insurance will pay off the debt not just what they deem the value of the car which I guarantee will be less than what you will still owe you will be responsible for the amount left after insurance pays and have no car

Q: Where can i find a pre-owned BMW M3 2002-2004?
i live in california and im looking for a pre owned bmw m3, particularly SMG transmission. im looking to pay no more than 35,000. if anyone knows of a dealership that currently has one or a private seller please email me at camee9000@hotmail.com.

A: Have you tried autotrader.com, or carmax(dealership), or even Ebay… or another website, autos.com.

Q: Certified Pre-owned BMW?
im interested in bying a certified pre-owned bmw either an x5 or any of the m series. wheres the best place to look?

A: The best place would either be your local BMW dealer, or any other up-scale auto dealer in your area.. ie) Mercedes, Audi, Lexus dealers…they usually have a large used car inventory…Good Luck!!!
A BMW from another dealer might not be certified, however, if it is new enough, it will still be under its factory warranty

Q: I am in bavaria germany near grafenveohr and I am looking for a pre-owned BMW , anybody got any suggestions?

A: Let’s be clear: You are presently in Grafenwoehr, Germany, a few kilometers down the road from Munich, the worldwide headquarters for BMW AG, and you are wondering where you should look for a pre-owned BMW?

Q: Hey guys, Im thinking about getting a 2007 certified pre-owned bmw. It has 18,574 miles on it?
Its gunna cost around $32,500 with around 19,000 miles on it. It has navigation, the premium pkg, and the cold weather pkg. My dad hates pre-owned cars and wants to get me a new bmw but then thats gunna take a while… prob. until summer… so yeah do you think its worth to buy with this limited miles on it for 33 grand?? Thanks Alot.

A: Buy the pre owned you lose less money. The minute you drive a car off the lot you lose.

Find new and used BMW Online at our automotive classifieds and Cars for Sale website Classifieds.Sub5Zero.com

Q: Is there a bmw guide online that explains what each part does in the engine area?
Is there a bmw guide online that explains what each part does in the engine area. Like kinda like an idiots guide with pictures and diagrams. For all different series.

A: go to the bmw forums and conduct searches and check out stcky threads. more info than you could ever imagine

http://www.bimmerforums.com/
http://www.bmw-forums.net/

http://www.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/

Q: Anyone know of a good online BMW parts supplier?
Anyone know of some online bmw parts suppliers they like? I use bluaparts for my Audi. Someone like them?

A: For performance parts, try companies like bimmerworld.com and turnermotorsport.com. Both are run by respected BMW racing teams.

For maintenance parts, try bimmerparts.com and rmeuropean.com.

Bavauto.com (and to a lesser extent, bmpdesign.com) are both dealer-alternatives, but their product selection, while broad, is not at the sharpest prices.

Q: How much negotiating room does a potential buyer have when buying a used 2007 BMW online from a dealership?

A: If its a used car the amount of “room” in the price depends on what the dealer paid for the car. Like Jay said online prices are usually pretty low since dealers have to be competitively priced, so dont expect a huge dollar amount off of the car especially if you have a trade in. Most people think thier trade is worth alot more than it actually is, for example your trade may be worth $10,000, you think its worth $11,500. The dealer may “give” you $11,500 for the car but that extra $1,500 actually comes out of the price for the car your getting. So for example if a dealer has $2,000 mark up on thier online price and they take $500 off that and give you $500 extra for your trade, they are down to $1,000 which may seem like alot. But when you factor in that they have to pay the salesman (say$100) and cover thier overhead per car (say $450) and clean the car and get it ready for delivery (say $150) that only leaves them only a couple hundred left. So dont expect a ton of money off the internet price.

Trust me, I’m the internet manager at a Ford dealer, and we dont have a ton of room in the internet prices.

Q: Were can I buy sideskirt clips for BMW online?
Does anyone know were i can buy the white clips that hold the sideskirts, does anyone know what they are called?

A: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do
enter year make model then find the part

Q: I have around 600 dollars to buy a car. I am looking into older BMW’s and Mercedes.Where online can I find one?
I have a couple friends at my school who purchased a BMW from the eighties or so, and it was only 550 dollars. Which I thought was surprisingly cheap. Where online could I find a mercedes or BMW , no matter what year it was made in , for around six hundred dollars?

A: The reason they are sold so cheap is because cost of fixing it is so high. Heck, some of the parts alone would cost 500-600 if you have the luck to find it. This would not be a wise investment unless this is your hobby, and you don’t mind having one parked in your garage for years until you find all the parts to restore it.

Q: where can i find a 2008 BMW 528i supercharger /turbocharger online?
i just need to be able to purchase it over the internet any ideas?

A: try jegs.com or summitracing.com,they might be able to help.

Q: Looking for the song with Spanish lirics from the BMW online mini movie.?
A while back, BMW hired a bunch of famous directors to record a series of mini movies you can get download online. I thnk it was called “The Driver” or something similar to that. You know what I am talking about if you seen it.
There is one called the Chase where the background song has Spanish lyrics to it. If you know the name of the song or artist. please answer. Thanks!

A: The Beating of a High School Bus Driver
Artist: Adam Sandler
Album: there’re all gonna laugh at you

Q: Why can’t I find any information online about a 1991 BMW 320i?
Every site that I have searched for parts, information, ect. doesn’t list the 320i as a model for 1991.

A: Go here:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do?vin=&kind=P&series=E36&arch=0
Simply enter the last 7 digits of your serial number or select which model you have (sedan, coupe, etc), then 320i, then select Europe because the 320i was not available in North America until the 1993 model year with the M50TU engine. Select the build date and transmission then away you go.
You cannot purchase parts here but it gives you an idea of prices and availability.
Most items in the car will also be specific to the 325i with the M50 engine. But use the part number to compare and confirm.

Q: How can I watch BMW Championship golf games live online for free?

A: PGATour.com

Q: How do I find online the production status of a bmw that I ordered?

A: Go to oc.bmwusa.com.

You’ll have to register, and you’ll need either the VIN (if it’s been assigned) or the production number provided by the dealer. Then the production status will appear when you log in. There are a number of other features there as well, from financial services to online owner’s manuals and maintenance.

Q: is there any link online that would show me a fuse diagram for a 2006 bmw 325i?
theres a couple of blown fuses in my bmw but i dont know what they are for , and at the same time i cant find a website that would show me a diagram for it ….. any help please….

thanks
i check and its a 20 amp small fuse on the right side !

A: Camho, your looking at a needle in a hay stack my friend. You have approx 100 fuses in your car. Leave it to a professional, preferably BMW to deal with. They have specialist high tech computer equipment to show EXACTLY where the fuse is!

Q: Do you know where i can get a bodykit for a bmw 318is online or in oregon?
the year is 1994

A: try andysautosport.com

Q: Where online can I find a used front passenger door for a 2001 BMW x5?
I didn’t find any on eBay and I’m wondering where I can find one.

A: Local salvage yard or Bimmerforums.com Want to Buy section.

Q: What store online sells chrome trunk lid trims for 7 series BMW?

A: aw lets take a stab in the dark n say the one n only store that has everything. EBAY

Q: is there any online owner manual for 1994 bmw 318i?
or anything that will tell you how to change the serpentine belt?

A: I once had all the owners manuals scanned so I could printout them for customers who lost or had damaged manuals. I put them online years ago as a good Samaritan thing. I got spanked by BMW and they had it removed. Everywhere you go online is a bait and switch situation when your trying to get free information from an owners manual. Years ago everything was free now they charge. The upside is these greedy people who think they are so smart are finding out people will NOT pay for this stuff.

Q: Used BMW on sale. Is it a good deal? What should I look out for?
Please see the offer here:

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/car/549391641.html

I want to contact the seller. What could the loop holes in the offer be? How much would I end up spending on maintenance every six months for such a car? What should I look out for when I go for a test drive?

Please help!

Thanks and lot!

A: Way too many miles on it i have 1995 325i with 80,100. and im thinking about selling it before it hits the big 100,000. There are a lot of problems that could go wrong with the car if not properly maintained. They are fairly heavy cars with a 2.5 I6 dohc. Performance work done to the car is not really worth anything except to the manufactures of the parts. Do some research and you could find a better bmw with less miles. A certified bmw dealer/service center will charge around $130/hr just for labor. Assuming that this is a 95 check this link. http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Reliability.aspx?year=1995&make=BMW&model=3-Series&trimid=-1 You can also find other years on there. Also if you decide to sink your money into that make sure you study http://www.bimmerdiy.com/

Q: Should I consider buying a used BMW?
I just found a automatic BMW 1 series 130i used for sale.

I would like some advice to know if the car is worth the purchase.
Ok here are some info:
- model year 2007
- Has 52000km on it
- full service history
- 6 speed Automatic transmission (with flappy paddles on steering wheel)
- one owner
- always garaged
- rear sensor.

Is 52000km to much for a used BMW and also will problems start to appear since its done that much mileage??
Will there be the need for many part repairs/change?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: used x5 bmw truck for sale?

A: Try ebay motors. http://www.motors.ebay.com/

Q: Does anyone know were i can get a 2001 bmw m3 gtr for sale? ( not used if possible)?

A: Of course is going to be used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q: how much should i pay for this used bmw?
i am buying a 2004 bmw 745li and its for sale for $27,500. it has under 60K miles on it and has warranty up until 100K miles. The man said it is spotless and we are going later this week to see it. It is also a MUST SELL vehicle. I would like to get the price lowered…how should i go about doing that?
Thank you so much

A: Do comparative analysis at sites like craigslist, cars.com, autotrader.com, etc

Q: does anybody know a good cheap car for sale redlands/loma linda?
does anybody know where i can get a used bmw 528i thats for sale for 2500 or 3000 dollars asap around the redlands/loma linda area or anywhere thats like within 25 miles of that area. or any other car within that price range that runs good and looks good/clean.. i need a car asap so if anybody know please let me know asap. thanks

A: www.autotrader.com

I just got a 2004 Ford Focus for $4600 with 51,000 miles from an autotrader ad.

Q: Where can I buy a BMW F 650 CS Scarver bike?
I really love this model of bike and I can’t find where to buy it online it would be great if someone could tell me if there is a dealer in ether Washington, Alaska, Georgia, or Florida that has it for sale. Used is fine.

A: well, I was gonna suggest going to a BMW dealership and asking them. sometimes they have connections that no one else does for particular BMW models. I am presuming that you have done a websearch for this specific model?

Q: With the new BMW 335i coupe coming out this spring, will there be more 2008-09 used 335i coupes for sale?

A: New models do not necessarily mean more used inventory, most of the cars are leased, so you’ll continue to have the 07’s coming off.

You won’t start to see a good inventory of 08’s until late summer. Most people don’t trade in their cars just because the car is getting freshened.

Q: Used car purchase: Audi vs Dodge (longevity is good?) Automobile buy repair sales bmw benz mustang ford?
I have heard good things about Audi longevity, many can last until 100k miles.
What about Dodge? I am planning to buy either a used Audi or Dodge Magnum, but will a Dodge hold up well past the 50,000 mile point? I have also heard that the Dodge Durango is bad for longevity but that is a SUV unlike the sedan Dodge Magnum.

A: I don’t know if I’ve ever heard anybody refer to any recent Audi as “reliable”.

I have many clients with Durango/Dakotas that are well past 150,000 miles.

Every Audi I have ever seen with over 120,000 miles has a LOT of valvetrain noise. Audi-philes defend their car’s capabilities but they don’t deny the clatter.

The Magnum is made up of various E and S-Class Mercedes bits. Those parts should be at least as good as any Audi. I hate the 2.7 V6 in anything Chrysler makes and don’t recommend it at all. It has(had) a sludging problem, the water pump is nearly impossible to access and it’s just too damn small for a big wagon.
The 3.5 is a little better. The 5.7 is a lot better

Q: Should I purchase a used 2004 BMW 325 for $13000?
The car has 46000 miles on it….for sale for 13K. Is it a reliable car? Is it worth the price for the performance? The car looks like it is in good condition, clean title and I was planning to get it inspected. Thoughts?

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: i have a 1982 bmw 320i and am wondering how much i could sell the car for?
i am the third owner, all owners non smokers, i have all the maintenance records from all the owners, and everything was profesionally done. the odometer reads 87xxx but there is around 100 000 the interior is in great condition minus a small tear in the shifter leather , but the outside has rust over the wheel well, and by the taillights , and a small blister the size of a dime on the hood
all of the following were replaced:
new water pump
new clutch
all new dashboard lights, and a new hazard button and switch
new fog lights, new front struts and springs
new electrical wiring
new flywheel
new oil filter
new tie rod
i think thats it

non smoker
i tried kbb but it doesn’t go back far enough in years, and i cant find any used bmw models like this for sale

i want to sell , but want to know if i can get close to 2000

thank you
also it is a four cylinder 5 speed manual and it drives great, oil changes have been regualr, and there are new brakes

A: It’s a 26 year old vehicle, so there is no ’set’ price on it. So it depends on what YOU think it’s worth. Apparently that is $2,000. Set that price on it, if the consumer public agrees it’s worth that, you will get your asking price. If no one seems interested, you can always drop it slightly and try again.

Q: What is a better used car ‘06 BMW M5 or ‘07 Audi RS4?
The prices are about the same right now and there are quite a few of both supercars offered for sale. I love the beastly 507hp M5 Ferrari killer; but the 420hp RS4 is no dog – lighter and Quattro awd is nice for winter in Long Island. I’m torn.

A: Great problem to have. I love the 06 M5, the wheels on it alone make me drool. Audi is also great. it all comes down to whether you want that snob value or that understated power? I would go with the snob value of the m5.

Q: How come i never see a bentley arnage on the road or in parking lots. I always see Mercedes S class & Bmw 7’s?
If i had 80k to splurge on a car i would buy a 2004 or 05 bentley arnage. Everyone on the road would turn their heads to stare at my car. There are many used arnages for sale and they are much flashier, and more powerful than benzes or bimmers. Why drive a benz when you can drive a bentley?

A: That is true especially with BMWs. It feels like 90% of the people buy it because of its reputation as a cool car but there are definitely better more affordable luxury cars, Infiniti M35x is in the price range of a BMW 3 series yet it has better interior, more powerful engine, and way better technology then BMW 5 series yet people hardly even know there is a car called Infiniti M35….all you see and here about is BMW and Mercedez

Q: Need help buying a BMW 850?
Hi. Im considering purchasing a used BMW 850 series. Most cars for sale have around 100,000-150,000 miles. I would like help in figuring out what most likely needs to be replaced at this age, assuming no major work has been some to the car. What are the most dos to restore a car like this? Tranny replace, Water Pump? ect. What can I expect to pay annually to maintain the car? How many miles can I get out of an 850 on the original engine? Thanks!

A: I have no experience with the 8 series, I’d like to own one one day, but have a little in the way of E36 BMWs.

I’d carefully look at the suspension and transmission smoothness. Look at the engine oil, engine compartment, how it shifts when driving, is it hard shifts, anything vibrate, any leaks, tranny slipping after its warmed up and driven a bit, etc.

Parts that should be looked at for replacement – tranny, engine mounts, tranny oil, radiator and hoses, thermostat, cooling system down to the back of the engine firewall, etc. Look at body irregularities. And I know this will sound funny, but get down a bit and really LOOK at the car, look at the trim, the body, take your time, really look for minor details that may reveal body work. Same with the engine area, just really look at everything closely.

And of course – maintenance history. Hows it look? Are the rims abused? That means they’ve been using it to practice burn outs or power slides and hit curves. How grippy is the hand brake? Does it seem worn? Like it doesnt hold the car while in drive? That means burn out wear and douche driving abuse.

Interior, is it clean? Also take a slow look, under seats, spills, dirt… if the person is filthy, they are irresponsible and did not appreciate the car which is a sign they didnt maintain the car properly.

If there Angel Eyes installed or clears on the side instead of amber lights – you can be sure the owner didnt get the car serviced correctly and was cheap. Unless, they really are mature enthusiasts, but its a sign of poser-ism.

Good luck!

Q: BMW Mini used car warranty?
Hi there.

Just to fill you in, I bought a July 05 plate mini a few weeks ago, it was a private sale. It is absolutely stunning and drives lovely, except one thing. In 1-2nd gears I get a knocking noise from the front near side. Also when going over bumps, but mainly if I’m going up and out of second gear. I’s like clunking kind of noise, when I’m going along nicely though it’s a lovely smooth ride.

Anyway, theres the picture. So next week I have booked it in for a clunk check. I hve 2 years left on TLC package and the dealer says I have used car warranty till Jan 09. The previous owner bought it in jan 08 from a BMW dealer so I’m assuming this used car warranty stays with the car like the TLC package? If they find something expensive wrong would it be covered under used car warranty. Any ideas anyone as to what it does cover?

Many many thanks,

A: you would have to look at the policy. Mini in the U.S. does not offer a used car policy unless it’s bought from a dealer under the mini next cpo program. Any other used car warranty would be an aftermarket outside warranty and may not be valid at all dealers.

Q: Used BMW???
I hear there are many precautions you have to take before purchasing a used, foreign car. What hidden(extra) expenses might there be with a used BMW?

A: EVERY used car has quirks you need to look out for. Things that are known to fail on that car that don’t necessarily fail on all cars. Things that are more important on that car that aren’t serious on another.

Here is one checklist.

http://www.unixnerd.demon.co.uk/bmwcheck.html

It omits a few important things on some models. Just google “used bmw >model< checklist" or something like that. You WILL find information on buying used BMWs of the model you specify. You should specify the platform, not the model name...ie: E30 rather than 325i.

The hidden expenses with BMWs in general are the fact that parts on old ones (10-20 years, sometimes older) tend to run about 50% more expensive than parts for economy cars. Some cost more than that. Some cost less. Some are actually cheaper than parts on say a Honda Civic. But generally it’s around 50% more. And expert, BMW-specialist help is significantly more expensive than that. If you do not have a lot of money to spend on maintenance, you had best learn to do the easy stuff yourself.

Oh, and the “M” in “M3″ is said to stand for “Multiply by.” As in multiply the price of everything by 3. (I’m pretty sure an M5 isn’t actually going to be 5 times more expensive to maintain as a regular 5 series.) They’re only half-kidding.

And the 7 series and 8 series are known for unreliability, and their parts are mostly VERY expensive. If you can’t afford a new one, you can’t afford a used one.

Q: 1-yr old Used BMW purchased in US. Will existing manufacturer warranty be applied in Canada?
Hi,
If I buy a used BMW in the states that still has the manufacturer warranty:

1. Can I exercise the warranty in Canada?
2. or do I have to go back to the states for warranty fixes?
3. or do I have to go back to that exact dealership?

A: Tony,
B4 buying the car,u please visit your BMW dealer in canada and ask for their opionion of u buying from the car from the States.
.Basically BMW covers worldwide if the car is under warranty.
Therefore u visit your dealers and once they agree,u can buy the car.At the same time u must inform the dealers in the buying state to mention in their service report online, that this car been sold to canadian and all future services and warranty be provided and exercised in canada.
Please get your car,s service records updated on the service book and stamped by the selling state dealer.
This wll definately save you from future complications.
Wishing you the best.

Q: What is a decent odometer reading for a used BMW 840Ci?
Does anyone know what an acceptable odometer reading is for a used 840Ci because ive seen it range from 68k to 190 and from personal experience know that 100k is really nothing for a well kept BMW but i’m looking at this one specifically, any input?

A: In most cases, I wouldn’t putt much into the mileage that is on the car. I would be more concerned on the records and if the car was kept up with the manufacture recommendations. However, I do know some about the 8 cylinder BMW enigines. I had a 2001 740il and believe me the mileage did come into play. There are major services (and major dollars) that is required on these BMW engines. Go an ask a BMW service shop (maybe a non dealer). I had spent thousands each year and it all started after 60,000 miles. By the time it reached 90,0000, I’ve put more than $5000 on the car. Now, all this is moot if you really like the car. Also, you may get lucky and not have issues. But, these engines have problems and that’s why the older 7’s are really cheap. I kept mine because I like it. But, most people would not want to have this much expences on a older car.

Please check this out on your own. If you do pick one of these up, ask about what has been changed and if BMW factory parts were used. All this is very important.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to e-mail me. Good Luck.

Q: what would be a good price on a used 2006 bmw 335i?
i want to buy a used bmw but, i see many diferent prices and dont know what a good price is….. can anyone help?

A: The Car

   BMW 335i is introduced in 2007 mid-summer!!

The Price

For a 2007 335i is about 10,000 to 40,000 because of options milage sooo can’t be sure about the price.

Good price

A good price is about 27,000 with out navi- and 30,000 with navi-.

Contact

    tinoisonit@yahoo.com if any other questions

Q: should i go for a used bmw under 20000 or a new honda accord coupe?
hi im confused as to whether i should go for a new honda accord coupe or a used bmw less than 20000? i will be changing the car after 3-4 years. what would you suggest?

A: bmw

Q: What is the best used bmw past 2000 to get?
I am looking for a used bmw for around $20,000 or less.

A: you mean 2000 and newer? it really depends on your needs. if we’re talking over all, i would say an e46… doesn’t really matter what engine you get.. the straight 6 were all built proof.
if your looking for a good price and ‘all-out sportiness/power’ isn’t your think you can get a really good 323i sedan for 8k if not better. but if you’re looking for power then you can always find an M3 although you might have to compromise with high mileage plus maintenance isn’t cheap for an M…

Q: Is it more expensive to add extras to a BMW when buying one used or buying it from the dealership?
I want to buy a used BMW 1-series but I want to add some extras. If I buy it from a third party and take it in, is it the same price to add the extras at the dealership or should I just buy the car used from the dealership?

A: Buy it used from the dealership, you don’t no what you’re getting with a third party and it is hassle free to talk to a dealer about extras and if it is a good dealership they actually know what they are talking about and install/upgrade your vehicle appropriately with true german parts

Q: Is it worth buying a used BMW motorcycle with 43500km (27000mi)? Or is that asking for engine problems?
I hear BMW motorcycles run for a long time but is it worth buying a used BMW motorcycle with 43500km (27000miles) on it? Or is that just asking for maintenance/engine problems?

A: The one thing that comes to mind when I see a bike with a lot of miles is that somebody really liked that bike! If they rode it that much, it must have been comfortable and ran good with few breakdowns. I bought my Harley Davidson with 27,000 and put over 12,000 on it the past year and it still runs beatifully. BMW is even more dependable than HD. I say go for that bike. If the last guy had that many miles on it – HE HAD FUN ON IT – and so should you.

Q: used bmw ?

A: Stay away

Big Headache only buy a Beamer if its new

Q: How much money do you have to save for a used BMW?
I am 15 years old and i am trying to find the right job that i can save money from so that i can help to pay for a used BMW. I want to have it for my birthday when I’m 18. If i give my parents every one of my paychecks then i hope by the time I’m 18 i would have been able to pay for about 1/3rd of it… maybe? What job do i need to have to achieve this and what kind of BMW do you think i can afford with the time frame i have? HELP!

A: I too am trying to save up for one of these beautiful cars, but its gonna take a while, just save up at least 20% of the car for the down payment, then finance it. Tell your parents to buy it, cause they have the good credit, so interest rates will be pretty low for them compared to someone without credit. I’m guessing the pays gonna be minimum so yea, depending on how many hours you work, you can probably get one by age 18. Get a 3 series, much better, avoid the 99. 00. and 01’s cause they had transmission problems, and those will cost like 4-8k to fix up, no lie. Avoid the 7 series, very good looking car, but that hides the problems in the car. So 3 series, or 5 series is your best bet, or maybe a Z4. Like i said you got plenty of time to save up the cash. Save like allowances, lunch money your parents give you, the paychecks, and you’ll be getting enough in no time. I started saving from 15, and I have like a ton of money already. Just save up some money for maintenance too, oil change is about 90 dollars, and they require it every 15k miles. And the cars gonna need the inspections 1 and 2, which are a hell lot of money, but they find stuff that will need to be replace to ensure the longativity of the car. Avoid cars above 100k miles, and if you can try to go for the manuals, they last longer. Autos are good but don’t last as long.

Q: What’s the Best Year for used BMW 3-series?
I am in the market for a used BMW 3-series. I heard that the 2003 models are among the most reliable for the 3 series. Is that true? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

A: No one can realy help you. All Bmws where made to last. I personally like anything from mid 80’s to early 90’s 3 series. Its all up to personal preference.

Q: looking to purchase a used bmw 740il 1998 with 85,000 miles on it for 10k dollars?
this is a used bmw with less than 85k miles. it’s a 1998 740il and car fax gave it the green light.

A: 7 series (atleast those years) are horrible maintanence nightmares. And I’m not talking about most little frivious bmw problems, I’m talking transmission, engine and electrical problems. Those trannys are notoriously bad and will cost near the amount you paid for the car to fix . Why do you think a car that retailed for 65,000 in 98 is selling for 10k ? Although that is a pretty good price, but just be careful and have it inspected . They are nice riding highway cruisers and may even surprise some people how fast they are above 50mph . good luck

Q: Should i buy a used bmw – or will i waiste money on maintance?
i would like to by a used bmw – maybe 1997 or osmething – around 145,000 miles – will this just cause me to waist lots of money on expensive bmw repairs – — shoul i juts go with a cheap Jap. car?

A: If you are a person of taste and want to stand out buy a BMW. If you just want to get from point a to point b then buy Japanese. The BMW is worth any money you have to put out in repairs.

Q: where can i find used bmw body parts in detroit, mi?
i just bought a 91 bmw 325i. it needs a rear bumper, right fender, and a left taillight, as well as a few other things. i’ve called 10 or more junk yards with no luck. if anyone knows a place that carries used bmw parts in the detroit area it would help me out a lot. thanks in advance.

A: There is a place on Gratiot Ave. I don’t know the name of it, but everyone around knows where it is.

Q: How much does a used BMW cost?
Is this all I have to pay for a used car? The price of the car i want to buy is about $8,000, here is the page:

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=276262213&dealer_id=1359953&car_year=1999&rdm=1272217959523&lastStartYear=1981&num_records=25&model=&systime=&make2=&highlightFirstMakeModel=&start_year=1981&engine=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=used&distance=50&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&showZipError=y&make=BMW&color=&keywords_display=&scarid=267713345&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&seller_type=b&position=top&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceASC&address=06457&advanced=&end_year=2011&transmission=&doors=&max_price=&cardist=21&standard=false

Is it going to cost alot more than what the online price list?

A: Yeah, that’s pretty much the going price for low-miles but somewhat old E46 models. Coupes command an extra $1-2k for their appeal.

Registration, tax, and delivery fee (if applicable) could run you an extra $500-2000 depending on your area and its laws.

Q: where can i find a 1968 BMW 1600 for sale?
i’ve looked on ebay and was looking for websites that might have them. this is the first car i want to get and i love it and i want it so bad.

A: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-2002-1968-BMW-1600-w-Recaro-Seats-15-BBS-Wheels-NICE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ42601QQihZ017QQitemZ270075205607QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Happy New Year!

Q: Anyone wi a BMW for sale , next couple of weeks?
I am looking 2 buy a BMW in the next few weeks, any model concsidered but pref 4 door. Willing 2 pay bout £1,600 – £1,800, P or R reg. Birkenhead – Wirral area

A: I know that this place is a little far from you but maybe you could get a train there and then drive all the way home, http://www.royalecars.co.uk/contact.htm they have many newer bmw’s but have a old series i am sure, it’s not on there website yet though. Phone them up, it will go cheap and you would be getting a bargin as it was a part-ex.

Q: Does anyone know any dealership that have 02-05 BMW 745 for sale in the Rock Hill SC area within 100 miles?
one with less than 80K miles and less than $22,000. Or a private seller.

A: You are going to have a hard time finding exactly what you are looking for. Likely, you are going to have to stretch one of your criteria. In your area, a couple of 2002 745li’s are availible for $21,900, but they have at least 90k miles. The mileage on a BMW shouldn’t bother you too much. They will run for several thousand miles if maintained. I have a 2000 528i with 225,000 miles on the original motor and transmission. Just be prepared for the relatively high maintenance cost since the warranty will be over. Also, the 2002 745 was the first year for the new body style and idrive. The electrical systems on these cars have been known to cause some problems. My advice: Try the 2004-06 5 series.

Q: BMW internet sale job?
I was interviewed for the sales position but the manager offered me internet sales position is that good or bad?

A: Have you sold cars before? If you haven’t, I wouldn’t recommend going straight into internet sales. It’s a whole different ballgame. Internet customers are much pickier and all they are doing is price shopping. You may sell cars, but your commissions will be drastically reduced. You need to work at a dealership that is not saturated. See how many cars the dealership sells each month and how many salespeople they have. You want to average 10 or more per salesperson, minimum.

Q: 1992 bmw 318is for sale, should i buy it?
My girlfriends father is selling his 1992 318is for $1800. It has about 100000 miles on it. The sunroof doesnt work, the windows need to be clicked alot of times for it to close, and the interior is tan but it has black side panels. the rear is leaking and it needs 2 front struts. is this a good car to buy for the price or should i just forget about this bmw?

A: it sounds to me there are to many problems with the car 1800 may sound very intriguing but in the long run its gonna cost double if not more to maintain the car!….. the mileage on the car is also high you dont know if it was maintained properly, either its highway miles or local miles usually local miles damage the car becuase of stop and go traffic it puts stress into the cars engine. the 2 front struts will cost you about an arm and a leg to purchase and labor charges thats if you can find the parts for a good price and someone to install the struts for free. my advice to you is to go look for something pre 2002 and up since they will be cheap and will come with decent mileage i would say around 70k and up mileage would be in your price range all in all its not worth the trouble to drive that thing

Q: Looking For a Rare BMW called Nazca for sale.?
I have been trying to buy a BMW that i saw online that i fell in love with and i cant find it anywhere. i dont even know if its for sale at all. If anyone can give me info that would be great, Again its called a BMW Nazca Spyder or BMW Nazca C2 Or just Nazca. Thanks
Thanks tronary that was absolutly no help what so ever. i actually feel more retarded.

A: Contact Italdesign-Giugiaro and ask if they still have one of the two or three they hand built for BMW.

If you have enough money and you ask nicely, they might build you one from scratch.

Q: BMW 328i For sale anyone interested?
The car it dark blue, convertible with a full electric kit, ten disk CD changers, on an R plate. It only has 35,000 miles on the clock, which is genuine with a FSH. It is worth 8.5k but looking for 7.5k for swift sale, if interested e-mail or call 07984-235701.

A: Why are you advertising here, in violation of yahoo terms of service?

Q: Im interested in buying a 1997 BMW 740i that i found for sale but?
I’m interested in buying a 1997 BMW 740i with 170,000k that i found for sale but the owner of the car has said that the
car leaks a little oil from engine and there is also a knocking noise from the engine it sounds like a lifter. the owner is asking $3500.00 and i don’t know if i should risk buying the car

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: BMW 325i FOR SALE?
I havce an 1984 BMW, all red automatic two door car, Im selling it for 800.00$ if you would liek to see photos of this car say so and i will be more than glad to show it to you im located in Manhattan New York.

A: I’m not in the USA so it would be a long way to travel, just to look at a car. Maybe if you paid for it to be transported to England at your cost, I might consider looking at at?

Q: BMW and run flat tires?
I have an ‘09 3 series, and I’m wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the run flats that BMW insists on putting on the new models of its cars. I found out about the problems with these tires only after buying the car, and I see from a google search that there’s an endless number of bimmer owners out there who are are PO’d about these tires. I was very surprised to find out how quickly the tires wear, that they cannot be repaired, how outrageously expensive they are to replace compared to regular tires, and how difficult they are to get if you get a flat anywhere outside a major metro area (since many tire shops do not carry them, you would have to remain stranded until whenever the BMW roadside assist people show up to replace it. I do a lot of cross country driving, and do not feel confident driving hundreds of miles out in the middle of nowhere in a car without a spare. Again, the BMW sales people did not mention any of these things when I was buying the car but I guess it was my fault for not doing enough research.

I find the tires to be rough and noisy. I was suckered by the dealer into buying the tire warranty but lately I’ve been thinking about removing these run flats and replacing them with regular tires. I see that many people have done this. The only thing is that I would have to buy the jack and donut spare kit (which isn’t cheap, but far cheaper than replacing a set of run flats when they wear out). Also the 3 series does not have any room in the trunk even for a donut, so I’m not so sure about having the spare bouncing around in there. Most things about the car I love, but I think that BMW made a big mistake with these tires. BMW customers have been complaining about them for years, and the company isn’t interested in doing anything about them. I guess they’re busy counting all that money they’re saving from not having to put a jack or spare tire in every new car.

I’ll be trading in this car in another year and a half, and I won’t ever buy another car that comes standard with run flats and that doesn’t come with a jack and a spare.

Any suggestions?

A: I think you’ve answered your own question! You can buy regular tyres, a spacesaver spare tyre and a jack, and that’s your best option.

I’m afraid that more and more cars will go with runflats and eliminate the spare tyre over the coming years, so you may have to reconcile yourself to this solution.

Q: 2001 or 2002 BMW x5 for sale?
i live in the bay area and i want to buy a car…
does anyone know where i can get a 2001 or 2002 BMW x5 for 15,000 or else?
oo lmao…i didnt mean to rite or else (wow that sounds mean!)
i meant: or any other lower price..

A: “Or else!” haha nothing is funnier than the unintentional!

Typically if a dealer gets a car that old they will go straight to auction. You best bet is looking through reputable used car companies like Carmax or Autotrader. Classifieds such as eBay or Craigslist can sometimes be very sketchy. However your number one priority in purchasing a BMW is knowing it was well maintained. Get a hold of its service records and ideally speak with the previous owners and have a qualified BWW or import mechanic look it over.

If the x5 had neglectful owners it can easily become a money pit at this age. My brother recently purchased an ‘07 Volvo through Carmax and was very pleased with the service (especially since in-state delivery is free and out of state delivery is still cheap).

Q: Does anybody have a BMW R75 for sale? 1940s?

A: I don’t think they made the R75 in the 1940s. There was this war on at the time.
Try doing an internet search for R75 BMW and you’ll find lots of hits. If it is a vintage bike your after buying, check vintage dealers … like Blue Moon Cycles in Atlanta. But if you go vintage, be prepared for major issues when it comes to parts.

Q: BMW car for sale, Ran it through Car Fax, Need Help!!!?
I need a little bit of help from anyone that really knows about cars. There is this lady that is selling me a BMW and she lives about 11 hours away from me. She is selling it to me for 5,800 and its a 2004 with 17,000 miles on it. I’ve seen all the pictures on it and it does look really nice, she also gave me the VIN number. I checked it out on CarFax and there were 7 reports and none of them are bad. Everything is positive about the car. She says its in 100% working condition inside and out and she said she has the clear title for it. Whats the catch??? I know it seems too good to be true, any info????

A: Where did you find the saler? I am also looking for a new car and have uncovered 2 schemes! The more popular one is a newly divorced lady that doesn’t need the car she won in the divorce. She insists on using ebay buyer protection whereas they don’t offer this protection on a sale outside of ebay. The car was not available to see in person. She would only except MoneyGram as payment.

My gut kept telling me that there was something wrong and there was as I found the same car for sale from the “real” owner!

Beward and listen to you instincts!

Good luck!

Find new and used New BMW 545i at our automotive classifieds and Cars for Sale website Classifieds.Sub5Zero.com

Q: I just wanted to poll, I’m interested in buying a new car what would you consider BMW 545i, Z4, or z4 coupe
I know all the numbers on these cars seeing that I’m a fanatic, but I have never test driven any of these models,so I would love your opinions on such. Oh yeah I meant the car would be new to me I’m buying one with over 20k miles but under 35k miles the pricing is perfect there!

A: BMW 545i. First of all, it is more of a status car than the other two. It is a lot roomier and more comfortable. The other 2 are sporty and you’ll feel bumps as you drive.

Q: 545i bmw or new range rover?
bmw is a 4.4 liter v8 producing 345hp and the range a 2005 and is just classic

A: I’d take the BMW everytime.

Range rover gets crap gas mileage, isn’t fast, looks like a toaster and isn’t a BMW.

Q: whats the annual maintenance on a BMW 545i?
Im About to buy one. Who has one and what year? what are your experiences? Any 5 series BMW, 2004 or newer would be good advice…

A: I have an 05 and I love the car. The car decides when it needs maintenance for you. It actually watches your driving habits and fuel consumption and figures when the oil should be changed. Brakes too, it has brake sensors that as they wear it tells you how long you have to replace the brakes.

The system is called condition based service

Q: If I’m 21, can I take ownership of a custodial brokerage account without my father’s involvement?
My father set up a custodial brokerage account for me several years ago. I’m 21 now, and he has no intent to transfer ownership of the account to me. He has spent some of the money on his house renovations while purchasing a new BMW 545i, expenses which do not benefit me. I called the brokerage, and they confirmed the existence of the account and set me up with an account transfer form that requires my father’s signature. Is there any legal way I can have the account transferred to me without my father’s participation?

A: If this account was set up under the Uniform Gift to Minors, he actually broke the law when he used the money. Once he transfers money into that account for the benefit of the minor child, he can no longer use it.

At age 21, he must turn it over to you. Read the rules on the links below. I guess if you wanted to get really nasty, you could sue him for the money he used to buy a car. He took a tax deduction on that money when he gifted it to you. Once he did that, it was no longer his.

Q: does any one know where i could find a 1:16 scale BMW 540i die-cast model?
NOT the new 545i just 540i from the year 1996-2000 are somthing like that .If you went to a site and seen one please tell me the site you went to.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!
ps: if you happen to know any sites with a nissan maxima from 1995-1999 let me know aswell.

A: do you mean 1:18 scale? id say your best bet is to look on ebay, or go to a diecast company website, like maisto makes diecast, i dont know what their website is

Q: facebook essay help proofread please!?
Since the invention of the world-wide-web it is safe to say that, a lot of good things have come from it for example, instant resources, online banking, and the convenience of shopping at home. However with every upside there are usually some drawbacks as well, like credit card fraud or stolen identities, but I know what everyone is thinking, “these are the extremes, that can never happen to me.” What about social networking sites though? Facebook is a social networking website that lets friends and family stay connected, but most people do not recognize the dangers of Facebook. But what are they? Scam artists, sexual deviants, and the socially inept all call Facebook home. That is why Facebook has had an extremely negative impact on Canadian society.
Personal privacy is always compromised when online. We may think that we are safe from leaving a trail of what we are doing or watching, but someone is always watching whether its your internet service provider, viruses, or spy-ware, “Facebook is a safe and secure webpage that has privacy laws and regulations put in place”, may be an argument made by an avid Facebook user, but has anyone actually read the terms and regulations that everyone must accept before any type of account can be created? The sad reality is that Facebook has the rights to sell your information, photos, or anything placed on their website. Which is a direct violation of our idea of privacy but it is completely legitimate because Facebook users are too naïve to read the terms and regulations.
In addition to privacy concerns, another one of the main negative impacts has been, the use of Facebook to take advantage of people. Once again you may say, “I know exactly who I am interacting with” but are you sure the friend you have not seen in 10 years is on the other side of the screen, or is it a 45 year old pedophile. Again it is human nature to think optimistically as opposed to pessimistically, however the numbers do not lie according to John Cardillo a former New York City police officer, there are over 8000-registered sex offenders on Facebook. The scariest thing about this situation is that, Facebook is a safe haven for these mentally upset individuals, since there are no restrictions or criminal checks before opening an account, any one with a keyboard and mouse can open up an account. Why do we do credit checks before a person is approved for a loan? Well the answer is quite simple, we need to know if the person is good for the money because if he or she is not it would be a negative effect on the economy. While perfectly good people who have fallen victim to the struggling economy, are not allowed to purchase a home, there are sexual predators stalking young innocent children without any fear of being caught. Now tell me which is a more negative impact good people with bad luck or nasty people with no conscience.
Along with pedophiles on Facebook there are also many scam artists. Scam artists lurk in the dark corridors of the Facebook chat rooms, waiting for the naïve to exploit for their own person capital gain. An example from my own life is, I went onto the Facebook Marketplace in search for a car, and to my surprise there was a 2005 BMW 545i for only $5500; I thought to myself “what an amazing deal, these usually go for $50,000.” So I quickly pounced on this deal the way a lion pounces on a unsuspecting gazelle, but much to my dismay the person offering this “amazing deal” was a scam artist that wanted me to make a money transfer of the funds and then he or she would send my the car. What a pathetic excuse for a human.
However the most widespread drawback of Facebook that effects almost every user, is the time being wasted. Most users say that they just check their notifications and that’s it, but in reality most users waste their time scouring Facebook more commonly known as “Facebook creeping.” If we sit down and think how much time we actually spend on Facebook as opposed to something productive like studying, it would blow our minds.
In conclusion, Facebook has had some benefits, like keeping in touch with family and friends, but the negatives outweigh the positives. Would you rather keep in touch with your cousin through Facebook and risk the many dangers discussed above or just use the phone and dial his or her number knowing that you are generally much safer? Personally I would make the second choice each and every time, but much of society has become socially introverted and can only communicate through online communication programs, which is negative effect on society caused by technology.

A: Because my answer is far too long for yahoo to accept, I have taken the liberty of posting it onto woofer:

http://woofertime.com/woof/78891

Q: Proof-reed my english paper please FACEBOOK?
A: Sorry, I don’t want to waste an hour of my life but here’s a brief outline of some mistakes that I found. In addition, I’ll proof read your first paragraph because I only like introductions anyways.

Errors:
1. I don’t know how formal this is but even if you do use ‘I’ where it’s a personal opinion type of essay, the language should still retain a sense of sophistication.
2. OMG!!!!! NEVER USE IN CONCLUSION!!!! IT SOUNDS CHEESY AND TACKY AND HORRENDOUS AND REPULSIVE AND ABOMINABLE AND CONDEMNABLE AND IS THE SAME TO A WRITER AS A 7 POUND HAMBURGER IS TO A VEGETARIAN!!!

Re-written introduction:
The advancements of technology has provided rapid retention of information, global social connection, and a digital transformation of the perception of Earth today. As more and more people turn to machines and electronic apparati, the world has also implemented daily tasks into a modernized dimension: incorporating banking, shopping, and other chores into the 21st century. Even greater still, the social networking has experienced an exponentially increasing use of its offered services, fast becoming a booming hot spot in the virtual world. A well-known example of social networking is the popular Facebook, a site where friends and family can get and stay in touch with a simple typing of one’s name. However, what happens when “scam artists, sexual deviants” and the deranged congregate in the unbiased and unguarded sites such as Facebook? Due to the dangers that Facebook poses and other underlying issues with online connection, Canadian society has been negatively impacted.

Sorry I got kinda lazy and didn’t want to come up with a better thesis. So, yes, the thesis sucked. But, based on your writing “english essay,” I’m going to assume that it’s formal. I don’t think that adding I, we, you, or any other personal pronoun is going to get you a very high grade. Good luck!

Q: Is anyone looking to buy a BMW 545i?
Two weeks ago I bought a 2004 BMW 545i, it has 19,000 miles on it. I lost my job two days after I took delivery. Willing to sell it for $33,000 that is at least $5,000 under value.

A: Place it on

http://cars.com
http://autotrader.com

http://craigslist.org

If you ist it on all three you will get much more offers that here.

HTH

Q: Would you buy a 2005 BMW 545i (138K miles) or 2005 G35X (99k miles)? Why? Both are the same price.?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: Installing an ipod or iphone into a 2004 BMW 545i?
I just bought a 2004 BMW 545i and wanted to see what my options were to run my ipod or ipod part of my iphone through the idrive controls. I would like it to not affect the navigation and still have it displayed on the main screen in my car. Any ideas??

A: there is nothing available for that vehicle only 1995 to 2003 5 series and 2006 to 2008
the problem is the IDRIVE there is nothing compatible with the 04 and up IDRIVE system

Q: 2005 bmw 545i headlight washers help please!?
I have an 05 545i with headlight sprayers and they do not work. When i bought the car i didnt know that they didnt work. I have tried everything. turn the light on 5 times. hit the button while the lights are on and nothing! My question is, i want to check the fuse but with BMW they do not specify what fuse is what. So im stuck. I need someone that can get a diagram explaining what fuse is what. The car just passed its extended warrenty so i want to avoid dealership costs.

A: Give the dealership a call and get them to tell you which fuse it is, I’ve never had a BMW but everything else I have had has always said in the manual or on the fuse box which fuse is which.

Q: Should I buy a Manual Transmission for a Sedan?
I’m Car shopping for a BMW 550I but can’t find one in my price range so I stepped down to the 545I but all the 545I’s that I find are Manual Transmission & a few that are SMG which I don’t mind cause I like the SMG. If I do buy the 545I should I get the SMG or keep looking for an Automatic. Has anyone driven a Manual Sedan, does it feel like it belongs on a sedan?

A: LOOl?? a lot of sedans people drive are manual. Just practice for a couple hours in a parking lot to get used to it and understand. Youll get props from everyone trust me, dont be a average joe.

Q: What should i look for in a car that I am considering to buy?
I am looking at a 2004 BMW 545i. what should i look in the car to make sure it is in good shape?

A: Plan on taking a used car to a mechanic for two main reasons, one is to make sure the car is not a piece of crap. and two any minor problems the mechanic finds, you use to negotiate the price down. NOW I will tell you how I look for used cars. First try to drive the car, when it has been sitting at least overnight, and is cold. Some problems may start to show up when the vehicle has not been driven, and go away when warmed up. Before you start the car check that the brake lights and turn signals work correctly. Inspect the tires make sure the wear is even all across and that all tires are the same kind, roll all the windows down (so you can hear any engine start up noises, or smoke issues) . Then get in the car, start it up, let it run for 20 to 30 seconds, and then try to drive it faster than you normally would. Drive it a bit harder, make sure it runs drives and stops good when cold. there should be no rattling banging or knocking or smoking from the engine. it it sounds like a loud can full of rocks, walk away and go look for another car. If it passes this test, check all the power windows several times, up and down all the way, make sure that the heater the air conditioner , the headlights , and all power options work, keep a list of problems, to get a repair estimate from your mechanic later. open the doors, inspect the door jam for over sprayed paint, (possible sign of repair work) same thing with hood and trunk. when shut look at how all doors hood and trunk fit. the gaps should be minimal and even, and walk around the entire car, at least three times slowly, look from different angles. If you were unable to drive the vehicle cold on the dealer lot for some reason, don’t worry go ahead and test drive it, but plan to come back the next day early and unannounced. and drive it again cold.
If you decide to get the car to your mechanic (this is something you can tell your mechanic ahead of time)
have him to and engine and transmission inspection. since you have checked all the lights and windows and radio and heater, tell him so you do not pay him to do it too. If the dealer balks at a mechanical inspection, run don’t walk from this car. If your mechanic oks the car, but finds some minor repairs, get an estimate, and use this to negotiate the price DOWN. If you want a rough idea how much cash the dealer is into the car for. Ask him what it would take in cash, for you to drive it home right now. Usually this is close, because the dealer is not losing money, everything after that is profit. good luck hope this helps

Q: Which car is the best buy?
008 Cadillac CTS Direct Injection with Nav

2008 Pontiac G8 GT, Ignition Orange Fully Loaded

2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe, Black with Aero and Premium Package with Nav

A 2005 BMW 545i, Black, Fully loaded (nav, heads up display all that)

In terms of Performance, Looks and Reliability…..which one is better in each catagory….

Which one would you buy?

Thanks in Advance.

A: G8 GT.

Newest design in America. Looks great, especially in Orange. Unique, powerful, 50/50 weight distribution so it handles well.

Q: Should I Buy A Japanese Made or A European Made Car?
Japanese=2006 Acrua TL, or  2006 Infiniti M45

European=2004 BMW 545i

A: I would take the 2006 Acura TL. It is going to cost you the least to maintain and insure.

The BMW is almost 6 years old and maintenance costs are going to start to get out of hand before long.

Q: What is the best way to buy a car?
Ok, I have 15,000 and im buying a car….although, the car cost much more than 15000

Im choosing on cars between 18,500 to around 30,000

in this car list is a (all used)

2008 Cadillac CTS Black
2006 BMW 545i Loaded
2006 Lexus IS350 black loaded
2008 Pontiac G8 GT Orange loaded
2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Loaded

out of all these cars which would you pick . as far as look, performance and reliability ….(in each category)

which would you pick if you were in this predicament….?

I know i dont have enought money so would me best bet by get a full loan on the car and use the money as a down payment??

A: 2006 lexus no doubt

Q: Which BMW 5 Series should I get?
My parents are buying me my first car and it’s between a 2004 BMW 530i or a 2005 BMW 545i. The 545i cost $500 more than the 530i. The 545i has 80,000 miles and the 530i has only 54,000. Which one should I get? Also, how much is regular maintenance and how much longer would the cars last? Thanks for any help!

2004 BMW 530i: http://www.fieldsbmwnorthfield.com/used/BMW/2004-BMW-530-0b73a5d87f000001004b2d1039f5026c.htm?useHistory=true#

A: If horse power and a much nicer ride is your thing go with the 545i more mileage but WAY cooler car. if you want better gas mileage the 3.0 six is still a pretty fast engine and will probable give you more mileage the the 8 cylinder

Q: What do ya think ” BMW 740i”?
Im thinking of buying this BMW 740i it has close to 98k on it very well kept. Very Clean in and out sounds good, very strong engine and quiet too. no smoke or leaks that i could find
Any owners or past owners here?

Needed to know the differance in the 740i &> 740(iL)< ?
besides wheel base if any thing else?
i think the price looks right asking 6K what do ya think vs the mileage?

I Personaly like the 535i- 545i modles and M5s. They just feel right.

A: Depending on the year, the 740i can be an excellent car. If it’s the E32 style (which is pre-1995), I’ve seen lots of them around still so I’m assuming it’s a really good car. If it’s an E38 (1995-2001), avoid the ‘95 but the rest of the years are great cars. (The ‘95 had a weaker engine that was replaced the following year) I have a 1997 740i and it’s an amazing car. I disagree with the guy that said 7 Series cars age poorly. You just have to know how to keep them updated. If you buy an older E38 like mine, it will have black plastic rocker panels, old-looking tail lights, and ugly rims. However, if you get the black painted to match the body color, change the tail lights to the 2001 style, and upgrade to the M-parallel wheels it will look 10 years newer. The 7 does not look outdated and aged at all if you just spiff it up a bit. It is also pretty reliable and it has amazing power and handling for such a large car. The only difference between the 740i and the 740iL is the length of the car. The 740iL does not have any more standard features or a bigger engine or anything, however the 750iL has a V12 and tons more equipment. If you want to find out if that’s a good price, you can check www.kbb.com to find out what the car should be selling for. The 5 Series is too round-looking for my taste, however I do think it is a pretty car. I just don’t like its style as much as the 7. The 740i just looks more stately and sophisticated because of its long, uniform look. It’s your car though, so pick what you like. Happy hunting!

Q: Logic7 Sound Quality?
Hello, im looking into buying a 2006 BMW 545i and it has the logic7 sound system….I am buying it from a dealership online and was just wondering how good the sound system is. Is it loud, clear, and not garbled when turned up. Also, how is the bass? ive heard it is underpowered….

Anyone have any solid specs on the system?

A: my mom has a bmw with logic 7. clear as shit!!! bass is awesome but the highs could be louder.

Q: which bmw 5 series is the allrounder model from 1996-2000 e39 shape?
am stuck cant decide which 1 i wanna buy and what colour 520i 523i 525i 528i 530i 535i 540i 545i m5 then theres diesels ……am trying to get everything insurance, power ,economiy ,luxury leather ,heated seats, saftey equipment basicly allrounder
thank you all in advance

A: Depends how fast you want to go and how much fuel you’re willing to put in it. I’d have to say the ‘optimum’ 5-sreies is probably one of the bigger petrol sixes or a 530d, in SE or Sport trim in a nice, dark metallic. The V8s aren’t significantly faster, don’t handle as well, and cost a lot more to fuel, and maintain, while the smaller sixes do struggle a bit with such a heavy car, particularly with the automatic transmission option, which means their fuel consumption is little better than the bigger engines.
OK, if I had to pick an ideal spec, I’d have a facelift model (X plate onwards) 530i Sport Auto, dark blue metallic with cream leather and the 18″ M5-style alloys.

out of all these cars which would you pick . as far as look, performance and reliability ….(in each category)

which would you pick if you were in this predicament….?

I know i dont have enought money so would me best bet by get a full loan on the car and use the money as a down payment??

A: 2006 lexus no doubt

Q: so i find a car at autotrader.com and the guy wants me to purchase it through moneybookers….bad idea?
so its a 2005 BMW 545i for 9 thousand dollars…thats right $9000

the guy by the name of James Taylor is in Scotland and wants to sell his car. since he isn’t in the U.S, he wants to use moneybookers to process the whole purchase. hes willing to let me hold it for 10 days to get inspections and stuff. hes saying he cant register it in scotland or else he would keep it. kind of sounds suspicious. i mean i jumped at the 9000 BMW but i mean come on. anyone else ever come across this guy? or even the same story? hes in Scotland and wants to use moneybookers to sell a top of the line car for that cheap?……

A: There’s a question on here everyday similar to yours. Someone (conveniently out of the US for some reason) selling an expensive car for cheap. It’s a scam. Common sense tells you that anyone with a clear title could just contact an auto dealer near where the car is- and sell it for a lot more money.

Good luck!

A: is it burned?

Q: whats a good price for a 2005 BMW 545i?
the car is a 2005 BMW 545i

-Mileage: 53,925
-Manual
-Title is clean.
-Engine: 8 Cylinder

can anybody tell me what i can expect to pay for that? there’s one im looking at for sale for $9,000 dollars. it seems good but i dont know if its worth it. can someone tell me what an average is price for the 2005 year models with around 50,000 mileage?

THANKS IN ADVANCE =D

the BMW is is great shape actually. the owner has to move to scotland and is aiming to sell it fast without the worry of a money loss. there are no scratches or anything. title is clear.
and also, the car was listed on Autotrader when i went to see it =)

A: I just bought my 545i sport (absolutely loaded!) this past july for 30k, with 45k miles and a clean bill of health (carfax report). now THIS WAS A DEAL!!

this so called deal sounds way too good to be true! Chances are this vehicle is a salvage (declared a total loss by the insurance) and someone bought it as junk to fix and then profit from. get a carfax report. it may cost you a few bucks now but will sure save you in the end.

keep shopping, but no way will you find a legitimate and clean 2005 545i bmw for less than $25k.

good luck
