Q: replacing low profile tires for all season/winter BMW 325i 1991?
I have a 1991 BMW 325i 4 door with low profile tires ( 225/40ZR16)
and need to buy some all weather or winter tires. I've been looking for diff tires in the classifieds and all the advertised winter tires for BMW 3 model are all totally different sizes.

If I am going from *low profile* to winter/all season tires what size should I get?? Not the same size as the low profile ones right?? I think they may need to be the E36 bmw model tires, but not sure.

Help please, I don't know anything about this and I need to replace them soon, the snow is coming here!!
For reference:

We are in Germany and they salt like crazy here. Oh, and I don't speak any German ;)

A: It depends greatly on your 325i wheel sizes. Do you want 4 all season tires, or do you want only two? You might consider two steel wheels instead of using your good alloy wheels for winter. Are you in an area where they use salt on the road? Don't drive alloy wheels on salted roads.
BMWs have specific offset measurements for their wheels making them peculiar to the car. Some Three series cars have a different rear wheel and different tire size from what is used in the front. Go talk to TIRE RACK people or even COSTCO to see what is available.
In Germany, the wheel sizes and tire sizes for a 325i BMW are specified by the German TUV. If your designated wheel size is 7 X 16, the appropriate tire size will be 225/50 x 16. You should have a choice between Semperite, Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin and other manufacturers. Try METRO Warehouse in Germany for the best prices. RSVP.

Q: When Americans get health care bills that cost as much as a BMW, will they embrace socialism?
It's nice to talk tough now, but financial realities are hard to ignore. The rest of the world does it, why are we too good for it?

You people need to put down your AP History book propaganda and go out in the real world. Pick up some classifieds. Your business degree does not mean you'll get a job or that you even know about business at all. The reason we're in this mess is because of all the 24 year old MBA graduates that felt their degree was some sort of black belt in the markets.

Oops, good job, you've just crashed the American economy. This is why you don't let young people get high positions in any company. How many of these idiot consultants were running around, telling companies and governments around the nation what to do, when they weren't even competent enough to run a McDonald's?

A: those in the health care biz will not like socialism!

A doctor pulling in $250,000.00 a year, will have to settle for $50,000.00!

So let's get all the greedy docs and other health care personal and give them a choice!

Either unplug yourselves from the breast of the beast or__________________________________________!

Q: where can i find cars that are sold for $1000 and under?
im a teen, ive heard of craigslist, the classifieds, pennysaver, cars.com and autotrader is there anywhere else im looking for a job and i really want a car but it needs to be extremely cheap and im not naive i know it wont be a shiny 2009 bmw, just something acceptable

A: junk yards

cars cost $3K to $4,000

unless your buying one from your parents

Q: the best way to get a cool car for less?
is the newspapers a good place to look for a good car like bmw and mercedes and corvettes for less because i see them in the classifieds all the time and i was wondering if you think its better to buy it from and individual than off a lot

A: yes the paper is a good place to look for these,i seen in our paper the other day a 87 corvette for 4500 bucks, and it said runs and drives and looks real good, there are some real good deals though in some of the local papers,i have seen a lot of big selling cars here lately sell real cheap,a friend of mine just about gave his corvette away just to get rid of it,it was a 86 model and real low miles, and he sold it for 5k the price is down on them right now,you can get good deals from either right now dealers or individuals, lot of people realizing they don't have a need for the corvettes and luxury cars anymore, good luck, you,ll find a good one if you,ll take your time ,hope this helps.
